The client operates in the financial services industry in North America. The client manages customers financial data and provides public access to multiple web applications.
The client wanted to know if there were credentials exposed relating to them on the Dark Web.
We scanned the Dark Web and identified just over 500 compromised accounts linked to the client. These included the credentials of both internal users and external clients. Some of those credentials included external business services online used by internal users.
Our client was now able to take action to protect those compromised records from further abuse and work on resolving the systematic issues that led to those credentials being compromised.
